Welcome to Ridgehaven Farms. We are a farm utilizing sustainable practices and located directly between Nashville and Memphis - 2 hours from each city. This area is well connected by highways and a beautiful local road system. We are situated within the natural ridges of the Ancient Gulf of Mexico, between two beautiful rivers: the Tennessee River and the Buffalo River and , close to ample hiking trails, wineries, and beautiful lakes. Although we are a farm in a rural area, the town of Linden (part of Perry County, which has about 7500 residents) is only 4 miles away. In Linden, you can stay at our restored hotel, the Commodore Hotel Linden, eat in our popular Commodore Cafe or other restaurants, visit the Linden arts and historic district, and visit shops and galleries, such as the Buffalo River Artisans Co-Op, along the lively main street. This region is a real treasure: an undiscovered gem in one of the most beautiful parts of Tennessee.
During your vacation with us you can get off the tourist trail, relax on our peaceful farm, eat fresh fruit from the trees, swim in our creek, ramble around in our beautiful forests, immerse yourself in southern culture, and enjoy delicious meals. You can also participate in a wide range of affordable activities such as horseback riding, guided hikes, yoga, cooking classes. We grow many different kinds of vegetables and fruit, including grapes for our delicious homemade wine. We also raise animals for meat, and eggs, our animals include miniature fainting goats, chickens, Southdown Baby Doll sheep, rabbits, horses and donkeys. Dog lovers will enjoy our acclaimed kennel where we raise Australian Shepherds bred from international champion bloodlines. Guests love to spend time with our animals, many who will eat sweet feed out of your hands. We also like to talk about the sustainable food process and offer meals for our hotel guests at the Cafe where dishes are delicately prepared with the majority of ingredients coming directly from our farm or local producers. We can accommodate a wide range of diets including non-vegetarian, vegetarian, and vegan.
We offer affordable accommodation for all types of travelers. Our agritourism is suitable for many different types of people including backpackers, horse owners, families with children, couples, and solo travelers. For guests with horses we offer a stable and ample pasture. Our rooms at the Commodore Hotel are very spacious and comfortable, beautifully restored with hardwood floors and original artwork throughout, and can accommodate up to 5 people.
